Q: Can I use with padding and Tak strips?
A: Our new DuraKnit and Cashmere Collection broadloom carpets featuring DuraKnit technology can be installed via the traditional stretch-in method with tak strips and over padding. All of our broadloom carpet that does not feature DuraKnit technology is not designed to be installed with padding or tak strips.
Q: Can I purchase the 6X8 rug in a larger size?
A: Yes, the carpet can be purchased off roll bars in 12-foot and 6-foot widths in any length at home centers, including Home Depot and Lowe’s.
Q: Is this product safe for Pets?
A: Yes.
Q: Is fire rating information available for this carpet?
A: Yes, the carpet has a Class 1 fire rating.
Q: Can I cut without fraying?
A: Yes, the carpet can be cut with a utility knife or scissors without fraying or unraveling.
Q: Will this product fade if installed in an area with direct sunlight?
A: The carpet is solution dyed throughout and will hold its original color for many years.
Q: How can the carpet be cleaned? What are the suggested products to use to clean the carpet?
A: The carpet can be vacuumed, professionally cleaned, or spot cleaned with mild detergent.

Q: Can we install the carpet tiles in a garage and drive on them?
A: Yes, the highly durable construction of the tiles and pressure sensitive adhesive, that adheres to almost any surface, makes them ideal for installation in the garage. Driving on the tiles will not harm their durable PET construction.
Q: Can I install the carpet tiles without “quarter-turning”?
A: Yes. However, we recommend quarter turning the tiles for the best installation and appearance.
Q: Can I install the carpet tiles over concrete?
A: Yes, the carpet tiles can be installed over most existing indoor and outdoor floor surfaces, including concrete, tile, wood, sheet vinyl, and even existing low-pile carpet.
Q: What type of adhesive can I use when the tile adhesive is not sticky anymore?
A: Once a tile does not adhere any longer, it should be replaced to be able to cleanly remove and replace it. A premium indoor/outdoor carpet adhesive can be used to permanently adhere tiles to the floor, but we do not encourage this type of installation.
Q: Can I use with padding and Tak strips?
A: No.

A: Yes.

A: The carpet tiles are not designed to be installed over padding or to be used with a carpet stretcher.
Q: What type of adhesive should be used for the carpet tiles?
A: No adhesive is needed for the carpet tiles. The tiles have a pressure sensitive adhesive on the back. Simply peel and stick.
Q: Is this waterproof?
A: Water will seep through the carpet, but the carpet and the surface underneath dries quickly.
Q: What temperatures can carpet tiles be stored at?
A: It is recommended to store and install the tiles in temperatures between 50 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
Q: Can I cut without fraying?
A: Yes, The tiles can be cut with a utility knife or scissors without fraying or unraveling.
